Our Story

Our company came to life in 1997 as First Houston Mortgage, headquartered in Houston, TX.

In 2008, with an annual loan volume running at $700 million and a staff of 350, First Houston Mortgage officially became Envoy Mortgage. A Fannie, Freddie and Ginnie approved seller/servicer, Envoy Mortgage is an independent mortgage company now licensed in 48 states and the District of Columbia, with local branches right in your backyard.

Living up to our values to put people first, Envoy has been recognized by Mortgage Executive Magazine as one of the Top 50 Companies to Work for, by National Mortgage Professional as a Top Mortgage Employer, has received the HW Tech 100 award from HousingWire, and was named the nation’s #1 Top Large Division Mortgage Company in Customer Satisfaction for 2021 by Experience.com.
